ADVOCATE

Do you have a passion for community education and a strong desire to make a difference?

As an advocate for the Vision Resource Center (VRC), you play a crucial role in shaping a more informed and inclusive community. This opportunity is for individuals ready to speak out and raise awareness about the blind and visually impaired community in various settings.

WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

There are three key areas where you can lend your voice and advocate for our mission:

Civic and Government Engagement

  • Represent the VRC at City Hall meetings and other local government forums.

  • Help ensure the needs and concerns of the visually impaired community are heard by city planners and decision-makers.

Educational Outreach

  • Assist with educational visits to local schools, organizations, and community groups.

  • Lead presentations and discussions to raise awareness, dispel myths, and promote understanding of visual impairment.

Business and Corporate Partnerships

  • Become a champion for the VRC's mission within your own business, company, or professional network.

  • Identify opportunities to host awareness campaigns, initiate corporate giving, or secure pro-bono support for our programs.
